What's New For 2022?

Nothing major changes for most of the new 2022 Hyundai Elantra, but there is one notable upgrade. That's the all-new Elantra N edition, which includes a powerful turbocharged engine and special features and stylistic designs. This will make your Elantra a bit less efficient, but quite a bit of fun for opening up on the highway and enjoying its unique handling and dynamics.

Performance and Technology

There are four total engine lineups available for the 2022 Elantra, including a hybrid that's the least powerful, but also the most efficient. For gas-powered engines, the starting 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower, a turbocharged 1.6-liter four at 201 horsepower, and finally in the top-end N edition, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that tops out at 276 horsepower with 289 pound-feet of torque.

Even in a small package, the new Elantra makes plenty of room for all sorts of smart tech features. The infotainment setup centered around the touchscreen with smartphone integration is easy to use while you're on the go, while a full suite of safety features comes standard, with forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping and assist starting you off.
